The TAT140 runs on its own battery, so there is nothing to wire and no power to connect. Fix it to a trailer, caravan or bicycle and follow it in the app. It connects over 4G (LTE Cat 1) and uses 2G where there is no 4G. The casing is rated IP68, which protects against dust and water.
To save battery it sleeps most of the time and reports on a schedule and when it detects movement. The map therefore shows the last position it reported, not a continuous live track. How long the battery lasts depends on how often it reports: ask us for an estimate for your use. The battery is not rechargeable.
It has no ignition input, so alerts based on the ignition are not available on this device.
